playback not working, play button grayed out
i've tried restoring to factory settings and i know for a fact i'm not in edit mode, but playback is till unavailable. this issue is reoccuring. please help!!!

What version, what OS, and what settings do you see in Edit / Preferences / I/O? Also how are you starting MuseScore?

I have the same problem as user4622082201 above. I'm on Windows 10. The version of Musescore is 3.0.0.4785. In Edit / Preferences / I/O, I selected PortAudio, but the API, Device dropdowns are greyed out. I could not select anything. I started Musescore by clicking its icon.
Any help?
