System Text for Tempo change and dynamics

• Jan 15, 2019 - 10:37

Hello!
I have two questions:
1) In my score I have a slow down of tempo to half of what it was.
I would like to show it by using the well known sign of "new eighth note equals former quarter note" (♪=♩).
How do I do that with MS 2.3.2?
2) I have copied the symbol of "pppp" from the Master Palette and used it in my score, but I need to adjust the size of it to the size of all other similar dynamics. How do I do that?

Thank you!

1) these are available in MuseScore 3. In MuseScore 2 you can add those texts (glyphs taken from the F2 palette), but have to calculate the correct speed yourself and set via Inspector, if you want the playback to be correct.
2) it has a different size?

1) I guess I'll do it by hand. MS 3 is facing big problems playing my score (noise, stops, gets stuck...), so I'll stick to the MS 2.3.2. Don't know what's wrong, is it maybe because it's a large trio of 330 measures and 770 KB??? I don't really have the time to deal with it, since I have to finish my score quite soon.
Thanks anyway...

Not sure where you are getting that from - the Symbols section? - but instead, create a normal "ppp" dyanmic and simply edit the text and add the extra "p" (Ctrl+Shift+P).

If you copied the pppp from the dynamics section of the master palette, then it will work like any other dynamic. If you copied it from the symbols section, it will have no effect or playback and it'll probably look different than other dynamics.
