Just downloaded Musescore 3.0.1 (allegedly stable) version for windows.
First problem: On startup a blue window appears, then the program crashes. Search on the web suggests starting with the '-s' switch, which I tried and the program did manage to start.
Second problem:
I then went to edit preferences, and it crashed every time I tried to change anything. Also in the I/O tab on preferences everything was greyed out.
Have reverted to Musescore version 2!

Just to add....I am using a M-Audio Fast-Track external sound card attached via USB to Windows 10 desktop. No problem at all with Musescore 2.3.2.

Just installed version 3.0.2, which has resolved the above problems.
If it's resolved for you, so mark the status as "closed". If it happens again select it again as "active".
