Tempo
In the new version (Musescore 3) It seems impossible for me to remove a tempo marker in a MIDI and then export it??? After exporting, the deleted tempo marker is returned. In version 2 it did not. I need to be able to remove that because I have to upload it in a study program that uses its own tempo. .... back to version 2? Or does it solve? I also miss "Delete selected mesures" in edit?

I can delete tempo markings, but after export and opening again, the tempo marking is back

Please, attach the *.Midi or *.mscz file. Are you sure there are no 'Invisible' elements?

Hoi Vera, Also try to save as *.mscz then open and export from MuseScore (3.0.1?)

I have tried it with several pieces and also after export as MXL, MusicXML etc, every time I open up the midi again after export the tempo marking is back. I'm sure there are nowhere hidden tempo marks. I install musescore 2 back, much better. :)
