For many years I do making scores with MuseScore but now, 3.0 has changed completely in several places,
as well as the moving of text parts. In 2.3 it was possible to place a part of a verse above the notes and the sequel below it. (See example). In 3.0 I can choose whether the text should be [above] or [below] the notes.
And then the whole text of that verse is raised or lowered.
If someone knows how to put a part of the verse above the notes please let me know.

I do not know if the previous image is correctly displayed hence a new image here.
2.x never really allowed lyrics above staff. You could move them there, with some rather large negative offset, but they still reserved space below the staff and caused collisions with stuff abobe.
Now in MuseScore 3 this just works, change them to "Above" (and reset their offsets) and there you are, no black magic with offsets and spacers needed.
But yes, migrating such carefully laid out scores from 2.x to 3.0 is quite some work

To move only some words above the staff, select those words you can use ctrl+click to add lyrics and use the inspector to change their positions all at once.

Hi, thanks for you advise. I have tried it in the way described but without the desired result. Every time, when I selected some words and use the inspector for to place text up (above] or down, the total verse is moved. And I'm just looking for the possibility to place a part of the verse above the stars.

Yes, unfortunatly the above/below seems to affect the whole verse, this is probably a bug.
But you can use verse 1 for above and vers 2 for below, and even change which verse a syllable belongs to without having to re-enter it (like was needed in 2.x)

I did try a several times but without any result. A have made some print screens so you can see what I have don. But, what do you mean with (reset their offset?) where can I find these. Is it no longer possible to move text in 3 as in 2.3 with a negative setting?

It is, if you disable auto place for these elements

Thanks, it took a while, but now I can put text up and down, just like in version 2.3. But do not forget to turn off places automatically as you noticed. :-)
