You can (and probably should) have both installed, they can even get used at the same time.

You can delete Musescore 2, but I would keep it at least a little while until some of the bugs are worked out of version 3 just in case it becomes impossible to do what you want. Versions 2 & 3 can coexist happily forever if you want.

I would keep all previous versions of MS that you have used forever. It would be very foolish not to. All of my scores from v 1.3 and 2.x look at least a bit funny in any later version, inc. v 3. Even if I want to use playback on an old 1.3 score, to practise against, it comes out at a different tempo. Obviously I'm not going to spend half of the rest of my life updating the scores... Some of them look like spaghetti in the latest version. Keep all versions to keep all options open.

I too have 1.3, 2.3.2 and 3.0.1 installed in the same PC and use them all. 1.3 only pretty rarely though
