Notating repeats out of sync with bar lines
How do I set a repeat section out of sync with bar lines e.g. when starting a piece in common-time with 2 quavers in the first bar and ending on dotted minim in the last bar?

Create a pickup measure at the start and do the same thing at the end.

Thanks for reply mike320 - couldn't find dialog named Measure Duration in my version of MuseScore but was able to bring up one called Bar Properties and changing from Nominal 2 / 2 to Actual 1 / 4 and 3 / 4 for start and end bars now looks and plays how I wanted. Problem solved.

Measure (US) = Bar (GB)
Bar (US) = Pub (GB) 😁
