Folders with exotic characters unaccesible!
Hi,
I'm using musescore3 3.0.4.5763 Rev. cda4080 on win10 pro.
When I try to open a file where either it's name or a name of a path folder contains Greek letters
I get the following error message:
Cannot read file D:/MUSIK/BOUZOUKI/Dromoi/Tragoudia kata dromous/_?p? e??s??s?/Stin ypoga.mscz:
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
Is that a bug or is it possible to correct anything?
I tried already updating the Greek language under Preferences/Languages/... but without success...
Thanks

I don't know if there is something you can do to make MuseScore recognized the characters as valid, but I have resorted to renaming the file using Latin characters.

Same happens to filenames with 'exotitc' characters. Seems a bug to me, if Windows allows it, MuseScore should be able to deal with it. Please file in the issue tracker

Thanks for your replies.
I already changed the file name and it worked in another path but as long a folder name in the path contains 'exotic' letters it doesn't work.
In this case it'd be a bad idea to change the folder name due to other dependencies.
As @Jojo said everything windows allows should also do any windows program too.
So it is then a bug. I'll ask them then for help.
Thanks anyway

Up until it is fixed you'd need to rename those offending folders too
