Undeletable flat/sharp signs when splitting a measure
When I split a measure, the first part gets the flat or sharp signs that the score has. They can't be removed, and one has to insert more measures to hope for someone not to do this, and then copy/paste the notes, and delete the measue with the signs.

Which version of MuseScore are you using? ???
I use MuseScore 3.0.5 and I don't have this problem. I can split the bars and I don't get a new sharps/flats signature.

I have the same version. It does not always happen, but often. I don't know what triggers it.

I might guess it happens when the measure was at the beginning of a system, and for the same reason as #283177: Insert measure at beginning of system generates extra undeletable key signature..

In this case it is not. I did not add measures (just cut the end). But look at this pic. This is later in the same score. I tried splitting measures at several places in the score, and it happens here and there.

Splitting a measure is a form of adding measures - you're taking one measure and turning it into two, which internally uses some of the same code as inserting. So I'm still guessing this will turn out to be the same. But we can know for sure if you can come up with precise steps to reproduce the problem.
