Static Sound
I just switched from Musescore 2 to Musescore 3, and I took all my scores from Musescore 2. I tried to keep writing a battery cadence I'm working on, however, whenever I try to listen to it, I get a bunch of static. I've tried changing the reverb and the threshold, but the static keeps coming in at the same 2 bars. What can I do to fix it?

What OS, what soundfont(s), what audio settings in Edit / Preferences / I/O, and can you attach your score?

I don't exactly know what you mean. However, I'm writing a cadence for a battery, and I'm pretty sure that the snare sound might be the problem. If there's any way I could maybe change the sound file or something for that specific instrument, that would be cool.

OS = operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux). Soundfonts are shown in View / Synthesizer (check both Fluid and Zerberus tabs). Edit / Preferences / I/O should be self-explanatory - go to that dialog and tell us what you see. And again, please attach your score.

I found where the soundfonts are, but I am unaware as to how to go about setting a new one. I attached a screenshot of what I saw in Edit / Preferences / I/O. And sorry about not attaching my score before; It just slipped past my mind.

That file seems to be a MusisXML file, that's not really the same thing - any performance data would not be present. We would need the actual MSCZ file. And now that you've found your soundfonts, can you tell us what they are? Both on the Fluid and Zerberus tabs.
