Copy-Paste Measures with Ties

Why is it that when I select a measure that has ties, copy it, and then paste it over another measure, the ties in the source measure are doubled in the destination measure? This has been happening every time I want to replace a measure (using Version 3).
Here is the measure that I copy (Ctrl+C):

Here is the measure I want to replace by pasting (Ctrl+V):

And here is the result. Notice that there are 2 sets of ties:

Click on these "ties" and you will see that one set is actually slurs. Though they would be interpreted the same by a human, MuseScore knows the difference will play them differently.

There is a problem with paste that seems like it might be fixed at some time in the near future. When you paste, dynamics and slurs are not removed prior to pasting, so they remain even after you paste on top of them. As a result, you will get them doubled.
