In Musecore 2.x worked fine, but I installed v. 3 recently, downloaded a new version of the plugin (for v. 3; double checked) and it does nothing. The setting dialog appears, but after confirming it, nothing happens.

What operating system are you on? I've seen discussion that I can't find right now about Windows still being broken until the next release early next week.

Hello
I have the same problem on Linux (Manjaro). The window appears, I select the type of harmonica, the key and the position of the tab, but when I click on OK, nothing happens. The window of the plug-in stays on top of the main window and that's all...
