Can't delete measures from score imported from XML

I donwloaded the score from the site and have no problem deleting measures on my windows system. If I'm not mistaken, you did a factory reset recently and before that you had a similar issue you fixed by setting your shortcuts. I could be getting people confused.

I did do an (accidental) "factory reset" recently, but, no, I'm calling "delete selected measures" from the right-click menu and "timewise delete" from the command menu. Command-delete doesn't work either.
It was the leprechauns. I closed the score and reopened it, and they delete fine. But the leprechaun is still hiding somewhere ....

BTW, what is the difference belween leprechaun, gremlin and goblin? Esp. that lat one shows up in the MuseScore instruments.xml (some synthesizer sound) and I'm having a bit of a hard time finding a suitable translatation

You would be best served to look at these in Wikipedia to understand what the differences truly are. They're all accused of causing problems in machinery.

I did. They seem to all translate into the same word in German, Kobold, which I find confusing

A leprechaun has to be of Irish ethnicity, and has some fixed attributes (i.e., watching the evanescent pots of gold at ends of rainbows that are used to cast aspersion on Karl Popper's theory of falsifiability). Like the pots, (and notes in hidden staves if the binary is ever updated), leprechauns exhibit dynamic visibility. They are not categorically malificent. Gremlins are usually malificent; goblins sadistically scare children, but it's not clear it's maliciously motivated.
