I've attached the score in which I have discovered the issue, as well as a screenshot. I showcased the issue in measure 2 of the 1st trumpet part, in which I have included Staff and Expression text, both in 12pt font. However, the latter appears several times larger than the former, despite having the same size. The only workaround to this at the moment is to decrease the size of the offending text to less than half of the original.

Not included in the example score, this issue also seems to occur in crescendo and decrescendo line text.

The too-large text has "Follow staff size" unchecked in the Inspector. Thus, it isn't being scaled down according to the staff size. Check that box and all is well. Looks like somehow "Follow staff size" got unchecked in Format / Style / Text Styles / Expression. Any idea how? Was this score perhaps imported from an earlier version?

It seems to be a problem with custom templates. I have a custom template based on the Big Band template, that just adds a few other instruments (vibes, flute, etc.)

I created two test scores, one with the Big Band template, and one with my custom template, and it seems to be a problem only with the latter. I think we've found the culprit.

Update: I've updated the Style options in the template file, and it seems to be working as intended now.

My guess is you started from an older version of the big band template, before the expression style was added, or before we added the follow staff size option.
