Can't get musescore to open
Please help! Everything is downloaded, and I go to open it and it says "select an app to open this file" and then says "no results found." help please? I'm on a Google ChromeBook, followed everything in the videos and all of the forums to the T. Still nothing.

update: got it to open through my old version of musescore but now im at version 2.4.10 instead of 3.2.3, also i can't download MDL (musescore drumline of course) and I cant even find the music editor. I'm new and I just need a nudge in the right direction.

A MuseScore version 2.4.10 doesn't exist.
I guess you are talking about the mobile player app?

indeed. the file downloaded from musescore.com only opens through the mobile player app for some reason
If you want to use MuseScore on a Chromebook, you need to install it as a Linux app. Is that how you did it? Can you point to which set of instructions you followed?

i watched the video and i followed the instructions on the download FAQ page and still hasn’t worked. i’m currently at the point where the program downloaded from the website opens through the musescore app that is available via the google play store.

What channel video, which FAQ page? We have no official instructions for Chrome book - that process is still new and experimental. My guess is you did not install the MuseScore program. at all, but instead only installed the Android app.

The MuseScore AppImage is not available the Google play score, only the Android player app is.
