Google Drive
This may seem like a dumb question, and it probably is, but if I upload my 'scores' folder to Google Drive, will the scores become corrupt?

No idea. It shouldn't.
Create a new folder with some test score and do the experiment.

as from my experience, I tried to test a sync google drive folder for 2-3 scores and they had disappeared after a while... Maybe the autosave thing?

Thumbnails or the whole scores?

But always consider making a copy of your work on an external medium.

Whole score unfortunately...the second time I had the score stored in another place as well.

I'm using box.com for that and never had an issue with it

Good to know...however it doesn't seem to have a free storage limit... I'll try with OneDrive as well.

It does have a free storage limit, 10GB (Google Drive and OneDrive have 15GB each and Dropbox just 2GB)

I personally avoid OneDrive. About two years ago it did an automated update, which “updated” my files to where they were a month earlier. Fortunately it was being used for business and almost all the lost files were available elsewhere as email attachments.

We actually had the same thing happen at a law office. All our files reverted back to previous versions. Microsoft sent out a representative and fixed everything for free (probably because it was a law office LOL)
I am leery of One Drive now for the exact same reason.

are you using a sync folder as well?
I'm using GoogleDrive with .MSCZ files (MuseScore V2.x) and it is workíng fine. It's just a cloud storage to up- and download files. Nothing should become corrupt.
Nevertheless keeping a backup somewhere else is always a good idea.
