Glissato for strings

• Oct 6, 2019 - 15:03

Currently the glissato is what you get on the piano. For string instruments, the glissato is not a succession of well-marked chromatic or diatoponic sounds.
Even on the guitar, glissando produces an effect similar to portamento.

Can I hope that the glissato will be managed in a more realistic way than what you get on stringed instruments?

Thanks.
I knew this chapter.
I reread it carefully.
My difficulties in bending are in tempo (time) management.
What is a space (if I understand it concerns the horizontal axis): an Eighth (quaver): an
Quarter (crotchet) , a millisecond ?: maybe if I clarify this I can change my bending frustrationsTo better clarify,
I attach a screenshot: bar 1 and bar 3 must sound the same way?

Thanks you in advance

The horizontal axis in the dialog allows you to add multiple segments to the bend. Each segment will take up 1sp in the visual display of the bend. It does not affect playback timing

If you want the notation of m3 to play back as m1, then disable playback of the notated m3 and add the notation of m1 as a second voice to m3; then mark that invisible.

Spatium (plural: Spatia) / Space / Staff Space / sp. (abbr./unit)
The distance between the midpoints of two lines of a music staff (or one-quarter the size of the full five-line staff, assuming a hypothetical staff line thickness of 0). The sizes of most elements in the score are based on this setting

Therefore the bending lasts as long as the note on which it is applied?
