Workaround is to reload audio devices in the Preferences. S2 is because scenario is very specific and a workaround exists. P1 is because the issue is still important.

Title Can't play after Windows unlock session Can't play after change speaker jack from loudspeaker to earpods.
Reported version 3.0 3.3

I was composing and listening to playback on loud speakers. But, thought I might be disturbing someone, so I plugged in earbuds. Wouldn't play. Checked other sound source and hear it fine. Reloaded 3.3 with speakers. Played fine. But, again, changed to earbuds and no sound. Why would the output device matter? Thanks.

Additionally, when I click the arrow, the word 'play' appears in the lower right corner. When I click it again, 'play' disappears. So, it knows when it should be playing.

Quit MuseScore. Plugged loud speaker back in. Restarted MuseScore. Now it plays fine over loud speaker. Which is configuration I composed the song (if that comes into play).
