Tied drum roll
In the attached score, the drum roll tied across measures 9-12 should be written as whole notes. However, if I notate as such, each whole note is played separately. (As half notes, the ties are recognized in playback.) I have tried inputting the measures and adding the ties in as many ways as I can vary the process, but the result is the same.
Score originally created with MS 2.3.2, currently editing on 3.3.2.

I've see this happen. I deleted the notes in the measures that don't work then reentered them again and this fixed it. Barlines seem to lead to problems importing version 2 scores sometimes.

I've tried that. I've even tried inserting four extra measures and inputting the notes there, but the whole note rolls are still played separately.
I've solved the problem for now with a workaround. (I'm not a huge fan of workarounds; they're non-standard ways of getting the job done, and often mean more work in the future if things don't work out.)
I duplicated the drum staff, and converted the measures in question to tied whole notes. These won't play correctly so I then Muted that staff. Finally, I hid the staff with the tied half notes, which do play correctly.
I don't like this solution, as when I do further edits of the drum part, I will have to deal with two staves to ensure that the hidden (played) staff and the visible (muted) staff are consistent.

I don't like workarounds either. Make an issue to get programmers' attentions and include the problematic score you attached in the first post. I haven't seen this in the issue tracker and when I ran across it a summarily fixed it rather than posting an issue report. It worked so I didn't think about it again until I saw your post.

I've already saved the workaround version over the original file. I don't think I could adequately describe how to identify the problem from the file in its current state.
