I just realized that there is, the pop-up window about cookies that sometime appears on entering the site, I clicked on it without thinking how do I adjust it? I put a similar message on https://imslp.org/wiki/Main_Page,
but it was rubbed, it is worse there you have to use google to search through there scores.

Unless I'm missing something - which is possible - any site that employs a login system relies on cookies. Otherwise you'd need to login again on every operation.

sounds at cross purposes. The cookies are stored on site - I think. If you use https://www.ghostery.com/
you will find that you are being followed everywhere by google analytics, it is possible to turn it off using ghostery; also usually followed by facebook connect even if you don't use facebook, ad sense and about 6 more. Sometimes some features do not work if google analytics is turned off, I used to turn it off while doing cousera and the occasional thing did not work. ghostery is not the only one there is also ublock which is used by tails/tor.
