Incorrect Instrument Naming
Hello MuseScore Community,
I found a minor bug regarding the listing of instruments when looking at sheet music. One of my pieces that I wrote has baritone horn in it, but, instead of listing "baritone [horn]," it says "French Horn" (my piece doesn't have French Horn in it).

Sounds like you are having a problem with the score sharing website musescore.com? Best to ask for help over there. Also best to make sure you include a link the actual score so the folks over there can investigate. Could be, for instance, that the instrument really is French horn, and only the staff name has been changed to baritone?

Good point. I'm pretty sure it's Baritone, but I'll be sure to check that before anything else; it'd kinda make sense if it says French Horn because it really is French Horn, lol!

did you figure this out? i have the exact same problem with the same instrument. I want people to see that the music is written for baritone, not french horn.

French Horn is the General MIDI sound used for various horns (and as such bariton horn too). the instruments listed on musescore.com show those GM sounds, not the instrument names used in the score.
And there is no Bariton Horn in GM
But you don't seem to have published any scores on musescore.com, so whom would you want to see what exactly?

See Jojo-Schmitz's reply. Gives explanation, so I guess there is no SOLUTION. =/
Thanks for the help though Jojo-Schmitz =)

Well, the solution would be for musescore.com to list the instrument names (part names) rather than the GM sound names. But indeed nothing the MuseScore Program or mussescore.org could fix
musescore.com shows the GM sound assigned to the instruments, and that indeed for Bariton Horn is French Horn
