Is there a way to enter sostenuto in a piano score? I didn't find anything in the handbook

OK, Ctrl+T inserts a staff text box. I have seen a piano score with this (sost.)_ _ _ _ _ underneath a long note, sort of a hairpin. I don't think a value can be assigned to it, and so this "sost" is just for the pianist in a score and has no effect in playback? Different from "Ped" which has a playback effect

That should be the same as a Pedal line

It seems to me better, as workaround, than Ctrl+T. Waiting for an implementation?

Yes, I think that the "sostenuto" is sort of an empty thing and functions as an optical instruction without having playback effect. Using "Ped" has an effect, and serves my purpose well.
Use a Pedal line, change the begin text from <
sym>keyboardPedalPed</sym> to <sym>keyboardPedalSost</sym>In reply to Use a Pedal line, change the… by jeetee
Then add that to your palette for further use

I can insert a pedal line. How do I change the "begin text"?

Select the pedal line, change the begin text inside the inspector.
