[irreproducible]Can't flip tie "direction" (i.e., smile or frown)
OS: macOS 10.15, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2.25137, revision: 148e43f
Since "1 click opens object for editing", X no longer works to flip a clicked-on tie (haven't tested slurs). You can flip it in the inspector, but, AFAICT, X no longer works.

Both still seem to work for me: same release, but on Windows10 instead.

I don't know what's going on; the tool for flip works, and X doesn't work. I checked the shortcut preferences, and X is properly bound to "flip direction", but doesn't work (on notes, either).

Perhaps bound to a plugin as well? Those don't get listed into the preferences, but can conflict.

Is there a way to list plugin bindings? I haven't changed any plugins in a long while.

As to the listing of plugins bindings, I believe they're shown as hints in the plugin menu entries.

Indeed, thanks. Whatever the problem was, it wasn't that, and (quizzically) it affected not only ties, but all elements.

Can anyone repro this on the Mac?
Works with Linux too.
It works for me, but I do see an odd bug. If I click the tie and press X, all is fine. If I double-click to enter edit mode, pressing "X" does not work - which is OK too, I don't know that it was ever otherwise. But, if I then press Esc to exit edit mode, "X" remains disabled. If you check the Inspector, you will see the tie seems "stuck" in the wrong direction. You can even click off and on again and it remains so. But the tie redraws itself on the next layout.
So somehow, we aren't setting some flag correctly upon leaving edit mode, it seems.

I absolutely swear on the grave of Bach in Leipzig that I only clicked once.

Understood you only clicked once one that particular operation, but perhaps you double-click - accidentally or not, at some point in the recent past?
More to the point: if you try to reproduce this from scratch right now, does it work as I say?

For what it's worth, restarting the app made it all work properly, but at least you did find a problem. Sigh.

Thanks guys for trying to repro.

And indeed, if I double-click and X, it gets into that bad state.
