unable to delete directory of a former opened file

It seems that MuseScore keeps access to a directory of a former opened file.
I can delete the file that I edited before, but I cannot delete the directory containing it, until I completely close MuseScore.

If this is Windows, try this:

  1. Go to File | Open
  2. Inside the Load Score dialog, navigate to another folder. Do not close the dialog.
  3. Switch to Explorer and try to delete the folder.

Yes, it's Windows(10).
No, it does not work.
What I forgot to mention: I started MuseScore by double-click on the file. So, MuseScore seems to use the directory as working directory for "something".
When I follow your instruction, I come to my last used directory (used from MuseScore). So, I am not even in the directory were the critical file resides.
