Notes across two staves
Sorry for the simple question. In piano notation sometimes a chord will span two staves with some notes of the chord appearing on the lower bass stave and some appearing on the higher treble stave. I can see how to shift an entire chord from one stave to another by using ctrl.+shft.+arrow but how do I move 1 or 2 notes from say a three note chord to another stave while leaving the other note of the same chord on the other stave? Thanks for letting me know how to do this.

Thanks Jojo. I looked at this area but it only tells me how to shift all the notes of a chord from one stave to another not how to split a single chord over two staves.

You can't, so use multiple chords, AKA voices
