Zoom setting

• Mar 3, 2016 - 15:43

Hi team,

For the next update, how easy would it be to add a 125% zoom setting? (I know, you just can't please some guys :)!

Another "wish list" is to display the Headers, Footers, Numbers control on the Main toolbar. Can I do that myself--perhaps with a shortcut key? I do a lot of adjustments to these controls and it would be great to have them less than three clicks away all the time. Yes, that's crazy too. If it's not possible, no worries. Thanks.

You can set any zoom level you like - just type it into the box.

There is not currently a way to put individual style settings on the main toolbar. But I'm curious why you need to adjust these settings often - seems to me if you start from a reaosnable template, you'd almost never need to change them, and even if you do, only once per score.

Point well taken, gents.

I can easily type in the 125%.

When I start building my scores, I always start with a template that has every bar numbered. When complete, I set the numbering intervals to what ever "looks good and uncluttered." That involves testing several schemes. I know I can leave the dialog box open and just click Apply, and I can immediately see the result. I use two monitors so I can move the dialog box off the primary screen. Let's call this question answered :). Many thanks.

Ok, that does make sense. Fwiw, I wish that setting were not buried after header and footer. But I still think your particular use case is a bit unusual. I don't normally see scores published with a fixed interval other than every 5 or 10. It's usually more a question of start of system (the default) or else in particularly "significant" measures, which seldom would come at such regular ontervals. To get the latter effect, set bar numbering to none, then simply enable it for specific measures in Measure Properties.

To be clear, when I talked bout not changing these setting often. I meant the header/footer style settings - these would normally only be changed once if at all per score. Zoom is changed often indeed, which is why the standard keyboard shortcuts work (Ctrl++ and Crrl+-) as well as Ctrl plus mouse wheel.
