Multi-measure rest behaviour

• Apr 5, 2011 - 22:50

On a score, I noticed the multi-measure rests split when I created a Part (empty instrument, no hidden empty staves) - I don't know why.

Using MuseScore 2.0 nightly build (4145) - Mac 10.4.11.

Anything special in that 103rd measure? Like maybe the "Break multimeasure rest" option is turned on in Measure properties? Or a rehearsal mark placed there?

I couldn't reproduce using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (4303) - Mac 10.4.11.

However, I re-did the score more carefully (using MuseScore 1.0) and I found it again - using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (4303) - Mac 10.4.11.

This time, the multi-bar rests have numbers 42, 75 and 8 (adding them up: 42, 117 and 125).

I don't want to upload the score, but I can give details: This score is 2/4, 125 bars, and is:

F major (from beginning), Bb Minor (from bar 43), F Major (from bar 58), Bb Minor (from bar 103), F Major (from bar 118).

This time, I've found a distinction: It happens at the first and final key changes.

I did it again - the numbers given this time are 42, 60 and 23.

I tried reproducing on an empty 2/4 score with the key changes, but nothing showed.

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (4303) - Mac 10.4.11.

I added notes this time (trying to avoid #9790: [1.0] Pasting notes featuring key signature change and lyrics corrupts following bar).

1. Open attached score.
2. Add Voice.
3. Open Parts.
4. Create part for Voice.
5. Open part for Voice.

Expected result: Multi-bar rest with number 125.
Result: Multi-bar rests split bars with values of 57 and 68.

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (4303) - Mac 10.4.11.
