Only one stave plays
Hi,
I have just started to use this software. I have opened a an existing midi file and it has displayed correctly for notation. However only the treble clef is playing. The bass clef is silent whether during play or just clicking on a note.
It has assigned instruments like this:
Voice, Staff 1 Treble Clef
Piano: Staff 1 Bass Clef.
I tried to change the instruments that deleted the music and caused the program to perform a sharp exit!
Any ideas gratefully received.

Thanks. I had already installed soundfont PersonalCopy Lite v4r1, I think successfully, but it still only one clef plays.

Make sure you set up MuseScore to work with the soundfont.
If you are still only hearing one staff then it probably is not set up correctly. Instructions are in the handbook>
