playing an electric string instrument directly into the score

Your Behringer Guitar Link UCG102 seems to be an Audio interface only. So it's good to record what you play as audio, or to apply audio effects. MuseScore MIDI input as the name suggest expects MIDI input and works only as step by step (no flexi time). Translating audio to MIDI accurately is far from easy... A MIDI interface for guitar that seems to have good review it's AXON 100 MKII but it's far from "affordable". As far as I know, your interface will not work in Sib neither.

Even if you manage to have MIDI out on your guitar, MuseScore supports only step by step midi input and not real time midi to score capabilities. You could record the midi event with any sequencer and open the resulting MIDI file in MuseScore though.

You can have that if you buy a device that can turn the audio signal from your guitar into MIDI. These do exist, although I don't know how sophisticated the technology is. In general, converting audio to MIDI is completely impossible, but I know some work has gone into solving the problem for the specific case of single note lines or simple chords played on guitar.
