Diferent dynamics for each piano stave
Is it possible to have two different dynamics for a piano score, one for each stave at the same time.

yes. Just click a note in the staff you want dynamics to be added to, and then double click one of the dynamics from the palette. Then do the same for a note on the other staff.

although I notice that if I add another dynamic later to one of the staves, then the "Dynamic range" returns to being "Part" and so affects both staves. To deal with this, could always right click a dynamic, select all similar elements, and then change all of their dynamic ranges to "Staff".

Or copy and paste as this will retain the property of "stave" applied to the dynamic.

What do you mean the range "returns to being Part"? Are you saying a dynamic you've already eneted and already cuatomzied to Staff changes when adding a new dynamic? i don't see that. if you do, could you post the score and precise steps to reproduce?
if you just mean, eahc new dynamic you add defaults to [art, wlel, that's certainly normal. Cusotmizing the range of one element in your score doens't change the defaults.

Yes, that is what I was saying, and I understood that is certainly normal.
There may be a feature request for user to be able to speicify that their multi-staff instrument should treat dynamics always as per-staff...

That's not really standard notational practice, though - I don't think you'll find a lot of support for the idea of adding more options just to make this unusual case slightly easier. I think it would make more sense to simply customize a dynamic the way you like it and add it to your custom palette.
