Musescore v2 colour scheme

• Apr 21, 2011 - 23:23

Hello there. I have been using musescore v1 for a while now and am very happy with it. I just decided today to give the nightly a try to see what is new in v2.

...First impression on running it was, what an awful colour scheme, white on dark gray/black on the menus, palletes and some of the dialogue boxes..

Is there any way to change this in options? or any plans to provide 'skinning'? or any plans to change the scheme?

Thanks for reply. I am running on XP Home SP2
I did actually find the style setting which allows selection of Native, Light and Dark. Selecting Light does improve the colours, BUT it only seems to affect the colour scheme of the Palettes, not the tool bars or menus.

Hi, Just ran it again today and discovered that the menu's have now changed to light, so what is actually happening is that after changing the style option, the menus don't change until Musescore is closed and run again. Fair enough. I do notice though that with the Light style selected, some dialogues e.g. the SAVE/DISCARD/CANCEL box, have white text on a light gray background which is not good to see.

I too saw odd behavior with style changes. You might want to browse around for other threads. In general, the workaround does seem to be to close and reopen MuseScore after applying the change.
