MuseScore won't let me upload my newer music

So I recently created a song that I would like to upload. The problem is, this song, along with all the other songs that I made after the 2.0.2 update, won't let me upload it onto musescore. When I am in the uploading process, and it asks you to pick a file to upload, all of my older music says "compressed musescore file" under "type of file" and all my new music simply says "MSCZ, file". None of the scores that say MSCZ, file will upload. I will get a notification saying that only files ending in .mcsz can be uploaded, even though it is a .mcsz file. I am using the newest version of musescore. Please help!

Based on "MSCZ, file", it sounds like the extension is not

MSCZ

but

MSCZ,

The difference is the comma at the end. MuseScore automatically creates a one-save-old backup file, which has the same name as the current file except with "." at the beginning and "," at the end (see https://musescore.org/en/node/52116). This suggests that you're just trying to upload the backup instead of the real score. If you can't find the real score in the same folder, remove the dot and the comma from the file name and it should work.

If I've missed my guess, or if that doesn't work, please bring further questions to the forums (http://musescore.org/en/forum) so we can help you better.

Ok thanks, that worked! I honestly didn't know that MuseScore had that backup file system, so thanks for letting me know. The issue is resolved.

You're welcome! By the way, there is probably a way in your computer's settings to keep all files that start with a dot hidden—that's why MuseScore adds the dot to the beginning (while the comma in the extension is deliberately there so you won't accidentally open the backup).
