I am doing a piece in 6/8.
1st 8 bars intro with 1st and 2nd endings.
Next section - add whole note. Appears as dotted half with 2 1/8th rests in same bar. Try to tie to next bar - no tie. Unable to remove rests, program crashes.

I am unable to reproduce this problem.
When I add a whole note in 6/8 time I get a dotted half note tied to a quarter note of the next measure as expected.

I have had a few other surprises in this piece:
- I added a repeat barline at the end of the 1st 8 bars, repeating both directions. I then realized that I needed to add a 2nd ending. I could not change the repeat bar line until I had tried a few times. Then the barline suggesting a repeat to the right of it was only placed on the treble staff of the piano part: all other parts had the appropriate barline.
- The first time I tried to add the notes as mentioned in the previous message, when I removed the note, there was NO rest in the bar and i could not access the bar. I then went to the note toolbar at the top, selected whole rest and placed it in the bar, but only after clicking on the bar numerous times. I believe all of these things must have led to the problem. I am going to delete the affected bar and see if that helps.
