Angled hairpins
Are these possible in MuseScore 2 and I'm overlooking something?
Many notations have upward-angled crescendo hairpins with passages of increasing pitch. They may seem superfluous, but there are a decent amount of situations when one could apply angles.
E.g.:

Now, about those pesky angled 8vas. Seriously, I've seen them, but I don't really see the need ;)

P.S. This is tongue in cheek, I'm not requesting this. Still, it wouldn't hurt to have an angled option available for many of these markings.

Prepare to have your mind blown...
Check the box in the Inspector for "Allow diagonal."
