Farsi Translation

• Jul 7, 2011 - 07:12

Hi
How can I translate the title of a page?

Take a look at:
http://musescore.org/fa

Under musescore ( top on the right ) some strange words are written. How can I edit them ( and page title of course )?
this is what i mean:
Thảo trình sáng tác và viết nốt nhạc

and about the download button ( top left ) how can i edit that one? and also how to do the same about the Follow, news and the getting started parts. Just the titles.

And I wanna know how to edit each part of the main page: http://musescore.org/fa

like this German one:

http://musescore.org/de

Every part has been fully translated.

Good job !

For the strange string, you need to translate "Free music composition & notation software". Can you put the translation in a comment here? Only the site admin can change it.

For the download button and the others (News, etc...), you have a menu on the right, "Translate" -> Website strings. Search for "Free Download" to translate it.

The translation of "Free music composition & notation software " in Farsi ( Persian ) is:

نرم افزار آزاد طراحی موسیقی و نوت نویسی

Of course this is Farsi. A right to left language.

For the page:
http://musescore.org/fa

And how about the bottom of the page?
I mean contact, roadmap, services and Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license, 2002-2011 Werner Schweer and others....

How to translate these? Should I write the translation here or there is string for it? the same as we have for download button...

For translating website strings, there is the link in the translate menu in the sidebar: 'Website strings'. You can search for a keyword like 'Licensed under' which will give you back that string which you can then translate to Persian.

Regarding the pages: contact, roadmap, services, ..., I'll need to take a closer look how we are going to do that. In the meantime, you will need your time to translate the software since we are closing in on a 1.1 release. Also, if you manage to translate the [[nodetitle:handbook]] in time, it can be included in MuseScore as a pdf.
