Is their any way of retrieving autosaves?
Musescore crashed on me twice in a row. First time the autosave came up fine, second time it brought up the original file (sans five hours of work from tonight/this morning). Since it came up the first time, the info must be somewhere. Is there any way I can get that file back? I need it desperately.

Which operating system do you use? There is a directory with all autosaved scores but it depends on your operating system...
Which version of MuseScore do you use? Can you give more details of what you did after the first retrieve? Did you saved? if we can reproduce the behavior we might be able to fix for next versions...

Operating System- Vista
I'm not sure what version of MuseScore I'm using, but I know that it is the most recent (since there is no available update).

Autosaved files are put in
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\MusE\MuseScore\in Windows Vista.Not just with MuseScore, but in general, it's a good idea to get in the habit of doing manual saves. Do a save when you finish one kind of work and move on to another. Do a save before you try something new.
