Anchor image to page (corner) and dimensions / Aligning images

• Jul 11, 2016 - 23:04

Hey there.

It would be very nice if you could anchor an image to the page such that the top left corner corresponds to the same corner of the page. If it was also possible to stretch it (optionally keeping image ratio) to 100% of the page, you could easily create sort of a banner.

I understand that MuseScore actually is a piece of notation software. However, as it is possible to include custom images, I think the possibility of aligning them properly can be of use.

I don't use images a lot in my scores, but I know that others who use them a lot would probably appreciate better control over their positioning. I haven't done a lot of work on MuseScore development, but I think anchoring images to frames (vertical/horizontal) instead of pages would work better with the current layout scheme. You could then use breaks and spacers to position the frame (and, thus, the image) exactly where you wanted it. I'm interested to hear what others think of this idea.

Yes, frames are bound to bars, as that is what normally makes sense. Otherwise images would be in the wrong place if smething changes in the future and your bars are in different places on the page. Can you describe in more detail what you are actually trying to accomplish? If it's a watermark type of thing - an image that fills the entire page, every page - that's not going to be a good way to do it. Better to add that in a PDF editing program.
