Adding Chord names (they overlap)
When I add chord names to notes right next to each other, sometimes the chord names overlap.

You can make more room in a measure by selecting it and go to Layout -> Add more stretch. The measure will be bigger and chordnames will no more overlap. The other way is to reduce the size of chordnames.

In addition to those methods, I will sometimes drag one or both chords horizontally. You can do this with the cursor keys while editing them. Generally, though, if it happens much, that's a sign you're trying to squeeze too many measures onto a line anyhow. Adding line breaks every four bars is often a good idea.

they're not overlapping, but just close. It makes it clearer what's what. Sometimes you have a measure that's mostly chords with little happening on the melody line.....

They fixed themselves when I added the lyrics which stretched out the music :)
