Transposition function?
Hi,
I've just downloaded and started using the musescore writer and it's good to use - pretty instinctive, but I almost immediately wanted to transpose a section - and, of course, you would constantly be doing this within single pieces and between instruments as well as for experimentation. But I could not find the transpose function or a select tool to select the section you wanted to change the key of.
I'd be really grateful if someone could point out where to find these basics. Thanks!

Transpose is under the Notes menu. You can also select a range and use the up / down arrow. But since you mention not knowing how to even select things, I'd start by watching the video tutorials that show in the MuseScore Connect window, and also reading the Handbook that you will find under the Help menu. That shoukd answer most those and many other basic questions you might have. But for the record, selecting a range is done the way most Windows and Mac programs do it - click the start point, shift- click the last. You can also ctrl-drag.
