Fingering Pallet should stay on top

• Sep 29, 2011 - 18:28

When I am entering fingering, I'd rather not have to continually re-select the pallet after depositing each fingering.

Same for dynamics and other floating palettes, I'd say. Although I'd be happier still with context-sensitive keyboard shortcuts. Bring up fingering palette, force it to stay visible as I click in the score, and while in this mode, I should be able to hit "1" (perhaps with a modified like alt or whatever) to place a "1" on the currently selected note, "2" to place a "2", etc. Hitting Esc should then close the palette. In the dynamics palette, "1" would place the first listed dynamic, 2, the next, etc.

At least, that's how I'd like to see all the floating palettes work. Not sure how well Qt would support that mode of interaction, though.
