Old Musescore on Ubuntu Software Center
Hi folks, I didn't really know where to open this post, so excuse me if this is not the right forum folder.
The issue is: althought the most recent Musescore stable release is 1.1, on Ubuntu Software Center the default version available is still 0.9.6. I think it would be nice if this could be updated. Many new Ubuntu users don't know about ppa's so they would miss the nice musescore.com connection and other improvements. Also it would give the impression that it is a moving-forward project, as it really is. Is it possible? Thanks

My understanding is that the Ubuntu policy is to not update sofware packages except for security purpose in their "Software Center". Any ubuntu user can confirm?

Ubuntu 11.04, the last version, delivers Musescore 1.1
Previous Ubuntu versions just stay «as delivered»

That's it. I'm using Tango Studio, a derivative of Ubuntu 10.04.
