How to play file like in sibelius

I want to lock the score and give the score to the musicians to play the file. I dont want them to edit the file.
I have tried all the file extensions. This facility has been provided by the sibelius scorch software, where you can see the scores and the cursor moves along the score while it plays and the user will not have access to edit. pls help.

Perhaps a work-around.

Provide a .pdf file and a .wav or other sound file.

I know it doesn't show the moving cursor within the score, but...

Perhaps a feature request would be in order, but...

If you just want to give a file to musicians to play but not edit, PDF is ideal. But that's a separate thing from live playback of scores with animation. For that, see musescore.com.
