Notes Too Close Together

• Nov 10, 2011 - 11:54

When I reverse voices it's hard to tell which stem belongs to which note. For example, in the treble clef voice 1 is a quarter note on E a third above middle C and voice 2 is a quarter note on G a fifth above middle C on the same beat. My choir finds it difficult to read, to know which part is which. Is there a way to put a little separation between the two notes to make them easier to read. I have looked at all the options and can't find how to do it. Thanks again for all your help.

double-click the note head (to put it into edit mode), use right or left arrow key to move it sideways a bit, hit ESC (to leave edit mode, only then the stem will follow the head)

Or color them, e.g. with this plugin
