Donation question.....

• Oct 9, 2016 - 18:34

I feel obligated to donate.
However, I hate just giving money. I like to get something.
I would rather pay $30 for a mug. Or $40 for a T-shirt. Something like that....

I saw that there was Music Score swag somewhere... Now I can't find it.

Anyway, maybe give a link to this stuff when you click the donate button?

I am also very glad to donate! My question is, what is the difference between straight donation vs a Pro membership? Where does the money go. I really have no need for the membership. I store all musescore file on my Google Drive. If I get a membership and that money goes to maintain the website vs a straight donation that goes to development, I would rather donate to development.
Can anyone clear this up for me?
Thanks

Hi mtone, the proceeds from the donation campaign and the Pro accounts end up in the same bank account. This account is used to pay the operational fees as well as the wages of the three full time developers on MuseScore, which are Werner (lead developer), Nicolas and myself. So either way, you are supporting the development of MuseScore.

The donation campaign is for those who wish to make a one time donation, but you can also purchase a Pro account for just one year by upgrading to Pro and cancelling your Pro account right after the first charge.
