Entering broken beams
If You enter 4 quarter notes MuseScore automatically adds a beam to them. If I only want two notes being beamed I can break the beam between the 2nd and 3rd note with the tools. If You have many measures like the described this is a lot of tedious work as You always have to switch between keyboard and mouse.
Is there an easier and faster way to enter many groups of two beamed notes?
Is there a configuration switch to turn this automatically beaming off for some measures?

Quarter notes with a beam??? I guess you mean eighth notes, don't you?
And the beaming depends on and changes with the time sig in effect.

Sorry, of course You are right.
Here is an example with 16th which hopefully demonstrates my problem.

This is a 3/8 time sig? This is how it does look in MuseScore or how it should look (I believe it is the later)?

... and this is created with MuseScore, printed to PDF, displayed and a partial screenshot taken. Everything is fine, just as expected.
It is amazingly fast to enter the notes with the keyboard, but afterwards you have to edit it.
Either you finish everything and go through the system to break the beams (and probably forget some of them :-( ).
Or you break them with the mouse while you enter it, this slows you down considerably.
I just wonder wether there is an easier (faster) way to break them during entering, maybe a keystroke I have not found yet.

You can define keyboard shortcuts for these and most other commands via edit->preferences->shortcuts.

And keep an eye out for my planned video tutorial on handling beaming.
There are ways of dealing with this which aren't immediately obvious from the UI.
Now I have moved it shouldn't be too long away.
