Ties (again with the)
I have a 1st and 2nd ending. In the measure before the endings, I have an 8th note which is tied to a quarter note in the first ending-I know how to do this. Question: How do I show that the quarter note in the 2nd ending is tied to that previous measure. In other words, in the 2nd ending the first quarter note would have half a tie coming into it. I hope this makes sense.

Makes oerfect sense. The question comes up pretty often, so you might want to search for existing threads. Because there is no direct way to do it as yet, but there are various workarounds you'll find suggested involving using invisible notes in other voices, slurs, etc.
