Are you talking about the "Break every X" plugin way vs the "Style/Edit General/System/Fix Number of Measures" way?
I recall comments that the "Break every X" plugin worked differently from the other one, esp because the Break plugin adds the line break icons for you? The plugin is the only one I use.
[EDIT: Oh, I see what you are doing. I thought you were deleting the plugin FROM MuseScore, but you are deleting the plugin from the repository. [ sighs relief ]. Never mind.)
