Lines/Pedal marks/Trill lines error with Inspector options when first applied

I realized this at first from pedal marking, but many palette functions: trill lines (but not single trills), Pedal markings, regular lines... when they are first placed onto a score their selection in the Inspector seems to be incorrect in that the only thing shown is Vertical and Horizontal placement, and these if changed actually don't change the marking's vertical or horizontal placement. One has to double click the new item or unselect and then select it in order to get the proper Inspector options (there may be other ways). This makes for extra work and a sort of confusion if one is expecting the vert/horizontal options to work properly when first applying the marks.
