Limit reached for free account - Can I add More?
Can I replace my scores with new ones so that I can add them to a group?
I'm not sure how this works.
I have added 5 scores but want to add more to replace the ones already shared with a group.
Can I simply add more and they will replace the old ones?
Do I need to delete the old ones and start again?
Or Will I not be able to share any more now I have shared 5?

New ones would move older out of sight (but not delete them, just make them inaccessible)
Only the last 5 scores will be visible.
As soon as you sign up for a pro account, all scores will be visible. Once a pro accounts gets cancelled again only the last 5 are visible
I'm not sure what updating an existing score counts as, i.e. what happens of you try to update a score that has been made invible before, as being older than the last 5
I would advise you not to bother with a pro account. I have one and basically there is no real advantage apart from the increased storage. You could better just rotate scores - removing older pieces and adding new ones which are then visible.
The so-called 'pro benefits' are actually a bit of a joke. I get to pay musescore $49 so I can link to youtube? Which means if you want audio with your chosen instruments (rather than musescore rendering your cabasa or guitar as a piano or organ!) you have to laboriously make a video, upload it, then link to your musescore score. I could just post the video to youtube for free, the potential audience there is enormous. Then just post the link to musescore.
The standard account can link a video anyway, the only difference being the lack of ability to make it the default audio.
The mixer does nothing if you're using the musescore audio, only the 'synthesizer' which generally sounds like someone blowing through a kazoo.
The menu also says 'manage audio sources' (plural), but your only other option is the youtube one. All the rest of the 'benefits' are just social networking pap.
There really needs to be some proper tools for rendering the audio as the creators mean it to sound. The pro account is after all marketed as "for musicians". That means a little more than general midi.

Hi Roger, thank you for your blunt feedback. You are indeed right that the main PRO feature is online storage, but allow me to explain why MuseScore PRO can be useful and for whome.
MuseScore PRO is for
* composers and arrangers who want to showcase their music, build up a fanbase, see which scores is the most popular and receive feedback from the MuseScore community.
* musicians who wish sync their scores across devices, from desktop to mobile
* those in charge of a repertoire and who wish to share it to group members via the MuseScore website and apps
* teacher and students who wish to leverage the learning features in the MuseScore site and apps
I understood you well that you want a solution to make your scores sound on musescore.com the way you created it in MuseScore. This is something on our todo list.

Thanks for the reply Thomas. Yes it was rather blunt feedback, sorry about that. It's perhaps largely reflective of my own gripe about having to link to youtube. I don't much like spreading videos over that medium. As far as I know it's not possible to make a video private, yet still use the video embed link as source audio which everyone can access on musescore, or am I mistaken?
I play in a combo (8 piece) where I also do much of the arranging and in truth the sharing of work among the members is mostly done on a paper basis. Though I realise an electronic showcase is invaluable when face-to-face contact is not possible and also for wider dissemination.
As more constructive feedback I'd say that the biggest Achilles heel is the mixer/instrument recognition when uploading. Like other users I make use of soundfonts other than Fluid and sometimes manipulate the staves - e.g. removing redundant lines in a percussion stave for a cabasa or clave running through a drumset or ordinary stave. It's not a problem when the audio is linked from elsewhere, but a standard user can't upload that score and have it properly rendered, even if they set the standard instruments before doing so.
When I had a standard account there were occasions where I uploaded scores with the standard instrument sf and yet other (wrong) instruments were chosen. Even in the pro account I can't alter the displayed instrument list in the right-hand panel.
I'll say no more here though. I'll use that link you provided.

Hi Roger, no need to apologise for the blunt feedback. I meant it that I appreciate this. When I meet people in person, I always ask them about their number one frustration, and you gave it to me without asking ;)
We are aware of the instrument filter issue and we are working towards a solution. Now that the musescore.com site is updated, we can push our incremental updates which will include the instrument filter. Tbc! And yes, let's move to the 'improving musescore.com' group.

FWIW, since I don't see it mentioned: the "real" reason to consider pro membership even if the feature set doesn't happen to match your particular needs is to support the developers of this free software. This is not "social networking pap".

Listen chef, real reason or not the main reason people release free software is to generate a large user base where paid software might lock-out the average user (read: customers). The social network aspect (and that's what it is) harnessed in order to tempt people into paying for a pro account has become a necessity with this approach. Once you go down that route though, you have to deliver on it because once the software is given away for free, people will never feel they are paying for that rather than the musescore social network.
Note that I'm not asserting that all developers just have dollar signs in their eyes.
Hi Ravski, you can upload more via the MuseScore software: File > Save Online. With a free account only your 5 latest uploads will remain visible. So having 5 scores, your new upload will hide your 5th score.

Updating a score changes nothing to its visibility. On your profile, you will always see the 5 most recent uploaded scores. To see all your scores (visible and hidden), see https://musescore.com/my-scores

Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding: I know you can't update a hidden score through the site, but do you mean that the "Update existing score" checkbox does not appear when saving online if the source URL is for a hidden score?
