Beam middle causes beam to cross bar
1. Open attached score (produced in 1.2).
2. Click on bar 2.
3. In 'Beam Properties', double-click 'Beam middle'.
Result: The sextuplet from bar 1 and all of bar 2 are beamed together.

This is by design. If you select the measure, the beam middle property will be applied to all the notes in the measure, included the first one and so it will be beamed with the previous note and this note is in the previous measure.
